Located in a historic 1700s building in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, locals and tourists alike come to The Wicked Oyster to experience a true taste of Cape Cod through ingredient-driven New American fare. In 2024 fishmonger Alex Hay, renowned chef Garrett Smythe, and fine dining veteran Sébastien Taffara, purchased The Wicked Oyster and transformed it into a new dining destination that celebrates and honors the region’s vibrant fishing and farming communities. Drawing from oystermen, farmers, and harvesters they know by name, the team curates a menu that celebrates the region’s exceptional bounty including distinctly briny Wellfleet Shellfish Co. oysters, sculpted by the harbor’s sweeping tides and mineral-rich waters, and hand-selected produce from Cape farms.

The Wicked Oyster also boasts a wine program led by Sébastien featuring unique and approachable wines from around the world. Additionally, the New American eatery offers creative cocktails, a daily Oysters & Burger Happy Hour and weekly live music both indoors and outdoors on their new patio during warmer months. Just steps away, the newly opened sister shop Wicked Provisions offers an elevated selection of natural wines, artisanal cheeses, and thoughtfully curated charcuterie and more—an inviting extension of the commitment to Wellfleet’s vibrant culinary culture.

The Wicked Oyster is located at 50 Main Street in Wellfleet, MA, and open year-round. Wicked Provisions is located next door at 40 Main Street and is also open year-round.
